Solapur : Deccan Express – Coronavirus | On the occasion of Ganeshotsav, there are fears of increasing crowds across the state. On the other hand, most probable Third Wave of Corona (Covid-19) is expected to hit the state from September 20 to October 30, according to the Task Force and the Disaster Management Department. Against this backdrop, restrictions will be tightened again before Ganeshotsav (Coronavirus) in the state. In this regard, a meeting was held between Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte at Varsha Bungalow on Thursday. A task force meeting will be held next week, after which a decision may be taken to tighten the lockdown before September 10, reliable sources in the public health department said (Coronavirus).

The third wave in the state will last 40 days after the second wave of corona subsides, medical experts predict. The second wave of corona has not spread in the rural areas of Kolhapur, Sangli, Solapur, Pune and Satara districts. Ganeshotsav and Navratri are widely celebrated in the state. During this time large crowds can be seen everywhere. It is feared that corona outbreak will increase from the crowd. Therefore, restrictions in the state will be tightened again before Ganeshotsav. In the current situation, the number of people walking around without wearing masks is significant. Especially in rural areas, the rules are not observed. The markets in the city are also crowded and there are a lot of people walking around without masks. The government has increased oxygen production and storage capacity to fight the third wave of corona. Beds have also been provided in the hospitals and separate facilities have been provided for children.

Every year there is a big crowd of devotees for Ganeshotsav and Navratri festival. The Department of Public Health may decide to tighten restrictions by reviewing the prevalence of corona in the state for the safety of citizens so that corona does not grow out of the crowd. The third wave of corona is expected to knock between September 20 and October 30, experts predict.
