If talk about India, on Friday, 23,285 new COVID19 cases were reported, 15,157 recoveries, and 117 deaths in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra alone reported more than 14,000 new coronavirus cases on March 11, 2021. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had to warn of lockdowns in more areas of the state after it had already been announced for Nagpur City.
Maharashtra has more than half of the total COVID19 caseload in India. Even as the vaccination drive against the COVID19 has started in the country, coronavirus cases are rising across states. The government has blamed the laxity of people as the main reason behind the rising number of cases in the country.
