Mumbai : The 13th season of IPL is scheduled to be held in the UAE from 19 September to 10 November. Meanwhile, the IPL has got another new sponsor. The BCCI has declared CRED as the official partner of IPL 2020. CRED is a Bangalore based credit card bill payment company. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has also congratulated the board for the deal.

Earlier, in the list of official sponsors of the IPL, fantasy gaming platform Dream 11 received the title sponsorship for the IPL 2020 edition for Rs 222 crore. Apart from this, along with Ultraz, online education platform Unacademy, Paytm and CEAT were also associated with IPL as sponsors. Now the name of Bangalore start-up company CRED has been added to this list.
Before this deal, the IPL had to lose some sponsors. Future Group, along with Chinese company Vivo, withdrew from the IPL Associate Central Sponsorship. Future Group was one of the Associate Central sponsors for the league, ending its contract with IPL 2020 at the last minute.
Whereas after all-round protests, the Chinese company Vivo finally lost the title sponsorship of the Indian Premier League. This year’s title sponsorship was given to Dream 11 for Rs 222 crore. While Vivo used to pay Rs 440 crore every year.
