PUNE : Deccan ExpressMaharashtra Politics | Higher and Technical Education Minister and Guardian Minister of Pune Chandrakant Patil said that the BJP starts preparing for the next election after an election is over. “We are preparing for elections of 288 assembly seats and 48 Lok Sabha seats since many months. It is not necessary to decide right now how many seats would be given to Shiv Sena and it would benefit from our preparations,” he said. (Maharashtra Politics)

Patil inaugurated the Shankararao Masulkar Urban Health Centre and Eye Hospital, Bhosari Gawli Matha and garbage distribution centre at Kasarwadi. BJP city unit chief and MLA Mahesh Landge, MLA Ashwini Jagtap, Uma Khapre and spokesman Eknath Pawar were present.

“Everyone has his views on any issue and opposition leaders have their own stance. They are supposed to find faults even in good initiatives. The eye department at YCMH is going to be shifted here. All check-ups of eye diseases and operations would be held here. The hospital will start functioning from tomorrow,” he said.

Speaking about the strike of government employees demanding the implementation of the old pension scheme, “Deputy CM Fadnavis has asserted frequently that he is positive about the pension issue. A committee of senior retired government officers has been appointed. I appeal to all employees that examinations are being held and patients are suffering immensely. Hence, at least emergency services should be continued. There are two parts of any strike. Emergency workers have to work by sporting black badges. Other workers can be on strike. However, at present, even emergency workers are on strike. The state government does not have a negative approach about the old pension scheme. But it would take time to study its burden on the state exchequer,” he added.
