Pune : deccan expressThe Bharati Vidyapeeth Police have booked the directors of Vinayak Developers for sub-standard construction. The accused have been identified as VInayak Shirole, Avinash Shirole, Nikhil Shirole and Sachin Jagtap.

Dinkar Baban Hanamghar (45), a resident of Dattanagar, lodged a complaint in this regard. According to the police, the complainant has alleged that construction and other works have not been done as per the agreement between them. The entire construction is of sub-standard quality. Moreover, lifts, painting, light and approach road have not been completed. Thus, the builder has misappropriated money paid for the flat by the complainant.

The incident took place between April 2014 and April 2019. The complaint further stated that the accused won confidence of the complainant by promising to hand over his flat within one year in Vinayak Residency at Siddhivinayak Housing Society.

They promised to provide all amenities by fixing the price of flat at Rs 14.50 lakh. The complainant paid Rs 9.40 lakh. However, the accused constructed the building using substandard material. Moreover, they did not complete the works. They told the complainant that he will have to get the incomplete work done on his own. Thus, the complainant spent Rs 4.70 lakh on the incomplete work.

The accused have not completed works related to the lift, painting, electricity and the approach road. They have not done the work as per the blueprint approved by the civic body. They did not even register the housing society as a cooperative unit and handed over its possession. They have misappropriated the money paid by the complainant. Thus, an offence has been registered against them.
