Pune : deccan express – Thieves struck at an ATM at Yavat in Daund taluka of the district. Unidentified thieves broke the ATM with a gas cutter and stole Rs 23 lakh.
An offence has been registered at the Yavat police station. The police are searching for the culprits with the help of CCTV footage. According to the police, unidentified thieves broke the ATM at Yavat. They stole over Rs 23.81 lakh from the machine. The incident took place on Monday at around 2.30 am.
The entire theft was captured on CCTV camera. The police are searching for the culprits on the basis of the footage. The Pune rural police crime branch team and the Addl SP arrived at the spot after getting information about the theft. ATM contractor Vikas Jalindar Bhagat lodged a complaint at the Yavat police station in this regard. The police are investigating further.
