Pimpri : Deccan Express – Pune Pimpri Crime |An incident of a woman engineer being murdered after she sought an explanation from her husband, after he came home drunk, has taken place in Pimpri Chinchwad. The Hinjewadi police have arrested the accused husband after registering an FIR against him. The accused has been identified as Shivam Pankaj Pachauri alias Bhardwaj (22).
The deceased has been identified as Avantika Sharma (30). Avantika’s father Ranjankumar Ladlimohan Sharma (60), a resident of Aligrah, Uttar Pradesh has lodged a complaint at the Hinjewadi police station. Accordingly, Shivam Pachauri, a resident of Itrain Society, Mangaon has been arrested. The incident took place on Thursday at 11.30 pm in Mangaon, Hinjewadi.
According to the police, Avantika and the accused Shivam were working as engineers in an IT company. On Thursday, Shivam came home drunk. Avantika questioned him and there was an argument between them. In a fit of anger, Shivam kicked his wife brutally. Avantika was seriously injured and succumbed to her injuries later.
