Pune Mcoca Court | Big update on shooting at NCP activist Raviraj Taware

Pune : Deccan Express | Pune Mcoca Court | Former Sarpanch Jaideep Dilip Taware Jaideep Dilip Taware was today granted bail by the Pune Mcoca Court. Action was taken against him in connection with the shooting of NCP activist Raviraj Taware (Malegaon Budruk, Baramati). Jaideep was arrested a month ago by Sub-Divisional Police Officer Narayan Shirgaonkar on the basis of a reply given by Raviraj Taware.

However, as Jaideep Taware was not involved in the shooting, the report was submitted by the investigating officer Shirgaonkar before Mocca Judge J. P. Agarwal. Adv Harshad Nimbalkar, Adv Dhairyasheel Jagtap, Adv Sachin Wagh’s plea in favor of Jaideep Taware was accepted by the court and bail was granted.

After the news of Jaideep Taware being granted bail, his supporters in Malegaon set off firecrackers. Former Malegaon director Deepak Taware said that the shooting of Raviraj Taware was reprehensible. However, the arrest of Jaideep Taware for political reasons had created undue tension in the village. Jaideep’s bail was granted only after the police investigated the case.

Police had first arrested four accused in the March 31 shooting case under Mcoca. Prashant Popatrao More, Tom alias Vinod Popatrao More, Rahul alias Rebel Krishnant Yadav (all residents of Malegaon Budruk, Tal. Baramati) are still in custody while a minor has been released on bail.
