Pune Crime | Out on parole, criminals caught selling mephedrone drug (MD) by Kondhwa police

Pune : deccan express  Pune Crime | Two hardcore criminals who were serving a term in Yerwada jail for a double murder were nabbed by Kondhwa police officials. Both of them were out on Covid protocol parole initiated by the jail authorities.


The Kondhwa police on December 21 arrested Sabir Shamshuddin Shaikh (45, Milind, Park, Kondhwa Khurd) of Kondhwa and Shahrukh Shamsher Shaikh (29, Behind Janwadi Mosque, Shivajinagar) of Janwadi and recovered banned drug mephedrone (MD) worth Rs 75,000 from them. The police took this action on the approach road from Undri to NIBM road.


The police were on their daily round-up of the area when they saw the duo moving suspiciously. After frisking them, the drug was recovered from them. The police said Sabir was a murder convict. He came out on bail from the Yerawada jail 19 months ago on Covid protocol parole.


Under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Sardar Patil and Police Inspector Gokul Raut, PSI Swapnil Patil and his team caught the criminals. PSI Samadhan Machale is investigating the case further.
