Pune : deccan express Pune Crime | The Khadak police acted quickly and arrested a man for stealing cash and ornaments from a house in Ganj Peth. He has been identified as Aakash Sanjay Bhore (23), a resident of New Mhada Colony in Hadapsar.
A complaint has been filed by Venkatesh Shimappa Palla (40), a resident of Ganj Peth. Offences of having a weapon without a licence and fighting are registered against the accused. (pune crime)
According to the police, Palla’s marriage is only a few days away. All family members had gone to Tuljapur on a pilgrimage.
The accused took advantage of this and entered the house by breaking the lock and decamped after stealing cash and ornaments kept aside for the girl’s marriage.
On Monday, Palla’s neighbours called him and informed him that the door of his house was open and the belongings were scattered everywhere.
Palla asked his neighbour to open a box to check whether the cash and ornaments are safe but he was shocked when he was told that they were missing.
Palla returned to Pune and lodged a complaint with the Khadak police station. The police came to know that the accused is going to be in Shankarsheth Road area.
The police arrested him after laying a trap and recovered gold ornaments of 6 tolas and cash totally worth Rs 4,10,000.
A team of senior police inspector Srihari Bahirat, police inspector Rahul Khandale,, police inspector Shankar Kumbhare, police amaldar Ajiz Baig, Sandip Patil, Sandip Talekar, Ravi Lokhande, Vishal Jadhav, Rahul More, Kalyan Borade, Himant Holkar, Nitin Jadhav, Pravin Gavhane, Sagar Ghadge, Kiran Shitole and Mahendra Pawar took action under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta, Joint Commissioner of Police Dr Ravindra Shisve, Additional Commissioner of Police (west) Rajendra Dahale, DCP Priyanka Narnavare and ACP Satish Govekar.
