Pune Crime : ‘Hello… Sharad Pawar speaking’, 3 arrested for fake call and demanding 5 crore

Pimpri-Chinchwad : Deccan Express Pune Crime | A case has been registered against three people at Chakan police station against three people for making a phone call. One of the three pretended to be Sharad Pawar, Nationalist Congress Party supremo, to extort money from a contractor in Khed (Pune Crime). It is learned that the call was made on August 9 and three persons have been arrested in Mumbai in this connection.

The information that has come to light about this incident is shocking. Pratap Khandebharad has lodged a complaint in this regard and a case has been registered at Chakan police station in Pimpri Chinchwad.

A phone call was also made to the home department of the ministry on Wednesday, pretending to be Sharad Pawar. The person in front asked about the transfer of the police officer and hung up the phone. A concerned official of the ministry has lodged a complaint in this regard at Gavdevi police station and based on this, the police has started investigation by filing a case. Three people have been arrested in the case and the accused in both the cases appear to be the same at first sight.
