Pune COVID-19 Update : Number of patients undergoing treatment decreases; Figure reaches 9-month low

Pune : Deccan Express  Pune COVID-19 Update | Coronavirus has hit India hard in the last one and a half years, with two waves of Coronavirus. Meanwhile, millions of people in the country have lost their lives to corona. In the second wave of Coronavirus, the situation in India was much worse. Due to the lack of medical facilities, many had seen their loved ones dying. During the second wave, the number of corona patients undergoing treatment in Pune had reached a record high. At present only 916 people are undergoing treatment in various hospitals in Pune city. This figure is the lowest in the last 9 months. On November 3, 2020, the figure was 880. The reduction in the number of patients undergoing treatment has reduced the stress on the health system in Pune.

At present the number of active patients in Pune city is around two and a half thousand. 1726 of them have mild symptoms of the Coronavirus. Therefore, they are being treated in home isolation. Another 916 people are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

A total of 4 lakh 85 thousand 855 people have been infected with the Coronavirus in Pune city. That means more than 10 percent of people in the city are infected with the Coronavirus. Of these, 4 lakh 74 thousand 477 have successfully defeated Corona. In Pune, 8,736 people have lost their lives due to corona so far. The first case of coronavirus in Maharashtra was registered on March 9, 2020 in Pune. After that, the situation in the city had worsened by December.
