Deccan Express| The Revival of the monsoon in Maharashtra has begun. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) the revival of the southwest monsoon will bring rain in Pune, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Kokan, Goa, and Vidharbha between July 8 and July 12. Scattered rainfall is predicted in Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, and Goa.
The department has issued warnings in ghat sections. The area is predicted to receive heavy rainfall during this period.

According to IMD moderate rainfall is predicted in Pune city and surrounding areas till July 12.
Strengthening of Southwest Monsoon over the Arabian Sea and likely formation of a Low-Pressure Area over WestCentral and adjoining areas will enhance the rainfall activity. Widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls is very likely over Maharashtra and Goa and other parts between July 8 to 12, informed IMD.

Four militants, including two recent recruits of Lashkar e Taiba and Jaish e Mohammad, were neutralized (Terrorists Killed) in two separate overnight operations in Pulwama and Kulgam districts in South Kashmir, have been identified, officials said on Thursday.
Army said in Zodar, Kulgam, a joint team of Anantnag based Rashtriya Rifles, JKP and CRPF launched multiple mobile vehicle check points on receiving inputs regarding movement of terrorists in the area on the intervening night of July 7 & 8.
