New Delhi: You may have to wait longer for LPG cylinders in the next few days as the number of cases of infection increases during the corona period. The biggest reason for this is that a large number of vendors are infected. In the last 20 days, the delivery waiting period has increased from one day to three days. The waiting period is likely to increase in the next few days due to infection. More than 20 percent of delivery men have been found corona infected, according to the report. In 2020, only 5 percent of delivery men were infected with corona.
The waiting period may increase further-
In the second wave of corona, 18 per cent of delivery men have migrated in the country so far. The waiting period is likely to increase further in the next few days. Waiting may increase to 4-5 days in the most affected area from next month. The rising corona has also led to a decline in cylinder bookings due to the lockdown imposed in the country. Commercial cylinder bookings fell 80 percent in April. Bookings for domestic LPG cylinders have declined by 25 per cent. Ujjawala scheme has seen a decline in customer monthly bookings to 20-25 per cent.
There were some changes in the booking of cylinders from November 1, 2020 last year. In which the booking of the gas cylinder was OTP based. So that the booking system is more secure and better. Now again LPG booking and delivery system is being prepared to be made even simpler.
