Free pranayam, meditation online camp by Art of Living from January 24 to 30

Pune : deccan expressThe Art of Living Foundation, Maharashtra region, under the guidance of its Founder Sri Sri Ravishankar, has organized the online ‘Maharashtra Meditates’ programme from January 24 to 30 to celebrate Republic Day. The meditation camp is organised for free for ex-servicemen and their families and other civilians from across the country.

As a tribute to the Indian soldiers who have displayed bravery and their families’ sacrifice for the country, their tales will be presented through a programme titled ‘Shouryagatha’.

Registration mandatory to attend the online programme

There will be various pranayama, meditation sessions throughout the day daily from January 24 to 30. These sessions will help people to gain peace of mind. It will not only ensure good mental health but will also increase efficiency of the lungs. These sessions are open to all. To participate in them, one has to register on the following website:

Kargil martyr Capt Saurabh Kalia’s father NJ Kalia, Swati Vishnoi, the widow of Maj Mayank Vishnoi who was martyred while fighting with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, the parents of Kargil martyr Capt Vikram Batra and other dignitaries will narrate these stories.

Giving details about the ‘Shouryagatha, Art of Living state teacher-coordinator Rahul Sadashiv Patil said, “Many youths stay away from their family, friends and relatives to protect our country’s borders. The Art of Living has organised this pranayama, meditation online camp for free to salute their bravery and sacrifice. All ex-servicemen and their families should participate in the ‘Maharashtra Meditates’ programme.

Two lakh people took part in the first camp

The first Maharashtra Meditates online pranayama and meditation camp was held last year for free to help people during the second wave of the pandemic. It helped in strengthening efficiency of the lungs. Fear and anxiety caused by Covid-19 was reduced. Many of these people later learnt Sudarshan Kriya taught by Art of Living teachers.

In the second part of this programme in December 2021, 20,000 people participated and benefited from pranayama and meditation.
