The seriously injured estate agent has been identified as Lancy Anthony Das (52), a resident of Dapodi. The Kondhwa police have registered an FIR of attempted murder against Sandip Vitthal Khopde, a resident of Katraj. The incident took place at Tilekar Nagar on March 11 at 9 pm.
According to the police, both the complainant (Lancy Das) and the accused Sandip Khopde are estate agents. Both of them were involved in the transaction of a bungalow in Mumbai. Khopde had invested money in the transaction. Since the bungalow was in a dilapidated condition, there were problems in the transaction. Hence, Khopde was pestering Lancy Das to return ₹1 lakh but the latter had told him that he did not have the money. Khopde had called Lancy Das for a meeting at Tilekar Nagar on March 11.
He attempted to kill him by assaulting him on his head and cheek with a sharp weapon. Lancy was seriously injured and when he was being treated in a hospital, the police neglected the incident. Now, after seven days, the Kondhwa police have registered an FIR and API Usgaonkar is investigating the case.
