Pune : deccan express – The Enforcement Directorate which is probing the money laundering charges levelled against former home minister Anil Deshmukh, has now started questioning senior police officers of the rank of deputy commissioner of police in connection with IPS officers’ transfer racket.
DCP Rahul Shrirame of the traffic department was questioned for seven hours by ED officials on Thursday.
Earlier, the ED had summoned Deputy Secretary of the home department Kailas Gaikwad for questioning and former chief secretary Sitaram Kunte has also been questioned.
Superintendent of Police of Akola G Sreedhar has also been called for questioning by the agency and his role in the racket is likely to come light after that.
Pune : deccan express – Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) senior leader and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has given a clear indication that Rupali Thombare Patil would be given the party ticket in the civic polls. She has nust joined the NCP after leaving the the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).
In the presence of NCP state president Jayat Patil and Ajit Pawar, Thombare Patil joined the NCP on Tuesday at a function in Mumbai.
She resigned from the MNS two days ago.
Pawar, in his speech, indicated that Rupali Thombare Patil would get a ticket in the Pune Municipal Corporation polls. He said, “We want aggressive and dynamic woman party workers like Rupali Patil. NCP would definitely get an advantage after her joining.”
Pawar admired her work. He said, “I remember that she was taking part in an election campaign during her pregnancy days. She delivered a child during that campaign. She handles public issues very effectively and solves them in her own style.”
