Deccanexpress online: Pune : Pune police took strict action against four plush hotels in Koregaon Park last night for not following the rules set against the backdrop of rising corona case.
These hotels includes Murphies Lane No. 6, Talli Bar & Kitchen, The Daily All Day and PUBLIQ Lane No. 7. A case has been registered at Koregaon Park Police Station under Sections 188 and 269 of the IPC Act including the Disaster Management Act 2005.
The spread of coronavirus is constantly increasing in the city. Against this backdrop, the administration has imposed night curfew in Pune city. Strict rules has been imposed on hotels and restaurants. According to these rules, hotels should remain open till 10 pm and with 50 percent capacity. But in the meantime, many places are getting crowded even after 10 pm.
Koregaon Park is a key attraction for local people or tourists in Pune city. As it has the city’s plush pubs and well-known hotels, senior officials had ordered an inspection and action.
Accordingly, Koregaon Park Police station and its officers have taken action under the guidance of Sagar Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Circle Two. The action was taken due to overcrowding and non-disclosure of capacity and other information at these places.
