Pimpri : deccan express – Corporator Tushar Kamthe | The Pimpri Chinchwad unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is receiving setback after setback before the forthcoming municipal elections. After resignations by Vasant Borate and Chanda Lokhande, now, corporator Tushar Kamthe has submitted his resignation. Kamthe, who represents the Pimple Nilkah ward in the Chinchwad assembly constituency, quit on Thursday giving a huge jolt to the party.
Kamthe met Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil at Chinchwad Auto Cluster and handed over the resignation. He said he had resigned because of the dictatorship of MLAs. He accused the BJP of wrongdoings and looting the civic body’s coffers. When Kamthe submitted his resignation, many leaders of the NCP were present. Hence, there is a speculation that Kamthe is going to join the NCP.
Tushar Kamthe was elected from Pimple Nilakh on a BJP ticket in the 2017 election. He was not appointed to any post by the BJP. He had raised his voice against corruption and adopted an aggressive posture against the misdeeds of the BJP.
