The BJP is responsible for the Supreme Court decision ending the political reservation of the OBC community. Despite repeated insistence by the court, the Center did not conduct a census of OBCs. The court therefore quashed the reservation. Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis has retaliated against Congress state president Nana Patole’s allegation. Fadnavis has said that no matter what happens, only the Center and the previous government is seem to this government. This time Fadnavis was speaking at a press conference.

Devendra Fadnavis has read the court order and tried to convince OBC. So when the issue of OBC reservation was coming up, the ministers were marching. Fadnavis has also made such a fuss. The decision would have been avoided if the state had said it was setting up a backward class commission and collecting data. However, the state government has remained silent for the last 15 months. Apart from setting up a backward class commission, some ministers were just holding rallies, Fadnavis has also lashed out at the leaders of the MVA government.
OBC’s political reservation has finally come to an end due to the unforgivable negligence and reluctance of the MVA government to reject the state government’s petition for reconsideration of reserved seats under OBC reservation in local body elections. During the Supreme Court hearing, the government only asked for dates at least eight times in 15 months. According to a court decision, the state government will have to justify the reservation by setting up a backward class commission and compiling imperial data. However, no action has been taken by the state government since then, Fadnavis said.
