Deccan Express | BJP leader Pankaja Munde has been dealt a big blow. A bank account of the Vaidyanath Co-operative Sugar factory has been sealed. Action was taken as the factory failed to deposit provident fund of its employees.
The Employees Provident Fund, Aurangabad office sealed the account. Rs 92 lakh deposited in the account has also been seized. A notice was served on the Vaidyanath Sugar Factory for failing to deposit PF amount of its employees. However, the sugar mill did not deposit the money. Hence, the account was sealed and the outstanding amount was recovered. This was revealed by EPFO, Aurangabad, Regional PF Commissioner Jagdish Tambe.
The factory did not deposit the PF money during 2018-2019. The outstanding amount against the factory is Rs 1.46 crore. Hence, Additional PF Commissioner Aditya Talware issued a directive to recover the outstanding amount, which was implemented by Enforcement Officer Wankhede. Action has also been initiated to recover the remaining amount.

Vaidyanath Co-operative Sugar Factory MD GPS Dixitulu said no bank account of the Vaidyanath Co-op Sugar Factory, Pangari, taluka Parali has been sealed. News about its bank account sealing is wrong.
The factory is facing financial problems due to drought and other reasons. In this backdrop, spreading such news and endangering farmers’ future is a political mischief. No bank account of the factory has been sealed, said Dixitulu.
