Shocking! Afraid of infecting grandson, Covid positive elderly couple commits suicide

Kota : COVID-19 infection is spiking the entire nation brutally. More than 3 thousand fatalities due to this virus are witnessed by the country everyday. Similarly, a shocking incident has come to light in Kota city of Rajasthan. An elderly couple who were infected with corona virus have committed suicide by jumping in front of a train. The couple is said to have taken the step out of fear that their grandson would also be infected with this virus because of them. The incident took place on Sunday (Dec. 2) evening. The incident has caused a stir in the area and has come as a shock to the couple’s family.

Hiralal Bairwa (age 75) and his wife Shanti Bairwa (age 75) are the names of the couple who committed suicide. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhagwat Singh Hingad, Hiralal Bairwa and Shanti Bairwa, both residents of Railway Colony area of ​​Kota town, were hit by a corona. So both were under stress and decided to quarantine at home. However, they were afraid that their grandson Rohit would get infected with coronavirus because of them. The couple left the house on Sunday without informing other family members.

They then committed suicide by jumping in front of a train which runs from Kota to Delhi. CRPF rushed to the spot and took the bodies to the hospital. Preliminary investigations revealed that the couple’s son had died 8 years ago. They also feared that their grandson would be infected with this virus, so it is understood that they committed suicide.
