Dr BK Upadhyaya promoted to the post held by Param Bir Singh

Mumbai : deccan express   – Two IPS officers from the Maharashtra police were transferred on Thursday. Controversial police officer Param Bir Singh who was the Director General of Police and Director General, Home Guard was suspended. (Param Bir Singh)

Dr. Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay has been posted in his place as the Commandant General. At present, Dr Upadhyay is the Additional Director General of Police (State Traffic). He has now been promoted.

This post was vacant for many days as Singh was suspended from the police service.

Another police officer who has been transferred is Kulwant Kumar Sarangal. He has been posted as the Additional Director General of Police (Traffic). He was awaiting his posting as he did not hold any charge.

State Joint Secretary Venkatesh Bhat issued an order for the two appointments on the Governor’s instructions.
