Aurangabad : Deccan Express– Aurangabad News | Anup Bhade, a student of the Computer Science department of Deogiri Engineering College, Aurangabad has won the third prize of USD 2500 in the online national seminar ‘100 Days of Cohort’ organised jointly by Zilliqa Pvt. Ltd., Singapore and Blockchain India, Bangalore.
The engineering college affiliated to the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, district Raigad combines compulsory and optional subjects for the third year in Computer Science. Students can opt for a subject of their choice in the optional category.
Anup Bhade chose Blockchain Technology as his optional subject. His interest in the subject deepened further. He, as a part of a team, participated in the 100-day national online seminar ‘100 Days of Cohort’ and learnt the fundamentals of Blockchain Technology. Bhade created a social trading platform and gave its demonstration.
He won the third prize of USD 2500 (Rs 1.86 lakh) for his demonstration. Marathwada Shikshan Prasarak Mandal General Secretary felicitated Anup and his parents on Monday. Anup’s parents Milind Bhade and Vrushali Bhade, Principal Ulhas Shiurkar and Prof. Sanjay Kalyankar were present.
Anup was guided by HOD Prof Kalyankar and Prof Pankaj Durole for this seminar. Marathwada Shikshan Prasarak Mandal President Prakash Solanke, Vice-President Shaikh Aslam, all Professors Vivek Bhosale, Satyawan Dhondge, Prakash Taur, Rajesh Auti, Gajendra Gandhe, Sunil Shinde, Rupesh Rebba, Achyut Bhosale and Amar Mali congratulated Anup on his success.
Trying to develop students’ potential
In the college, all optional subjects, along with the compulsory subjects, are taught to the third-year students of Computer Science. The Deogiri Engineering College always takes the lead to develop the potential of its students, said Principal Shiurkar.
