According to a Healthline report, peanuts increase the amount of Aflatoxin in the body, which is a harmful substance. Aflatoxin acts as a poisoning agent, some of the most common signs are loss of appetite and yellowing of the eyes, which can be a sign of liver failure or jaundice. It not only cause liver damage but can also cause liver cancer. The danger of Aflatoxin poisoning can be seen highly in hot and humid places.

Also, patients with arthritis are advised to avoid peanuts. The swelling problem in such patients increases due to the lections present in peanuts. It may also cause constipation, acidity, and heartburn.

Peanuts have an element called phytic acid, which reduces the essential nutritional value in the body. This acid decreases the amount of iron and zinc in the body. Those who eat a balanced diet or regular meat will not have much problem. But people who depend mainly on cereals or leguminous vegetables may have to face many problems. Also, overeating peanuts leads to many skin-related problems i.e. itching and rashes in the skin. Sometimes this itchiness leads to swelling on the face.

Peanuts are rich in omega-6 fatty acids, which are very beneficial for the body. But experts say that its excessive use reduces the amount of omega-3 fatty acids in the body, which is not right. Peanuts are hot, so it is always advised to eat them only during winters.
