TET Exam Scam | Pune Police held two more government employees in MahaTET question paper leak scam

Pune : deccan express TET Exam Scam | The Pune Cyber Police have arrested two government employees from Nashik for handing over Rs 3.85 crore given by 350 candidates to GA Software director Dr Pritish Deshmukh and two main agents in the MahaTET question paper leak scam.


In all, 12 arrests have been made in the scam. Valuables worth Rs 4.68 crore have been seized till date. Suranjit Gulab Patil (50), a resident of Nashik, and Swapnil Tirsingh Patil, a resident of Jalgaon, have been arrested from Nashik.


They were produced before the court, which remanded them in police custody till January 11. Public prosecutor Vijaysinh Jadhav told the court that Swapnil Patil is a teacher while Suranjit Patil is a technician. They contacted two accused agents in the scam, Santosh Harkal and Ankush Harkal. They conspired to pass candidates writing the 2018 and 2019 MahaTET. Suranjit Patil took Rs 1.10 lakh each from 200 candidates of 2019 TET. He made a list of these candidates gave it to Ankush and Santosh Harkal, along with the collected Rs 2.35 crore He has admitted to have done this.


Swapnil Patil took Rs 1.10 lakh each from 150 candidates. He made a list of these candidates and gave it to Santosh and Ankush Harkal, along with Rs 1.50 crore. PP Jadhav told the court that they needed to find out as to how much money both the arrested got in the scam.


This action was taken under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Dr Ravindra Shisve, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Bhagyashree Navtake, ACP Vijaykumar Palsule, and PI DS Hake. It was carried out by PSI Ravindra Gawari, Anil Dafal, Sachin Vaje, Nitesh Shelar, Ravindra Salve, Nitin Chandne, Sonune, and Ashwin Kumkar.
