Ravet Police Station | Government approves Ravet police station construction by dividing Dehu Road police station

Pune : Deccan Express – Ravet Police Station | The Pimpri Chinchwad Commissionerate has approved the division of Dehu Road police station and conversion of Ravet police station into a police station. The Home Department today issued a government order approving the Ravet police station. The government has also approved to increase manpower at Ravet police station with its expenditure.

It was proposed to divide Dehu Road police station under Pimpri Chinchwad jurisdiction and convert Ravet police station into a new Ravet police station. The proposal has been approved by the Home Department. A total of 71 police officers including Police Inspector (PI) 1, Assistant Inspector of Police (API) 1, Sub-Inspector of Police (PSI) 3, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police 3, Police Constable 9, Police Naik 18, Police shipai 36 for the newly started Ravet Police Station.

At present, there are 31 Assistant Police Inspectors, 1 Sub-Inspector of Police, 2 Assistant Sub-Inspectors of Police, 4 Constables, 4 Police Naiks and 19 Police shipai working in Ravet Police Station. The government has approved to fill the remaining 40 posts. The government has also sanctioned an expenditure of Rs 15 lakh 54 thousand 500 for the newly started Ravet police station.

Also, the Director General of Police has been directed to determine the boundaries of the police station and submit its report immediately. With the formation of Ravet Police Station, another police station has been added in the jurisdiction of Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. The creation of Ravet police station will help curb crimes in the area.
