Mula Mutha Riverfront Development Project: Two companies submit tender for works worth Rs 650 cr between Bund Garden to Mundhwa

Pune : deccan express Pune River Rejuvenation Project | Two tenders have been received for works worth Rs 650 crore to be undertaken in the second phase (Bund Garden to Mundhwa) of Mula Mutha Riverfront Development Project to be implemented on Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) basis.

 

Civic officials said that these tender documents will be opened in one or two days after technical checks.

 

As a part of the Mula Mutha Riverfront Development Project, riverbanks of 44 km will be developed. This project is being implemented to attract citizens to the river apart from the river rejuvenation project. This project is going to be implemented in 11 phases by spending Rs 4,700 crores.

 

Of this, the tender for the work of the bridge between Sangamwadi to Bund Garden to be done by spending Rs 300 crore has already been approved. The tender for the work of Bund Garden to Mundhwa to be carried out in the second phase has been opened.

 

Only two tenders have been received for this work in the second phase to be carried out on PPP basis through the credit note. One of them is of J Kumar Infraprojects Ltd and the second is of NCC Limited. After technical examination, the tenders will be opened after one or two days, officials said.

 

The deadline of the tender for the work between Bund Garden to Mundhwa was extended twice but only two companies have submitted the tender.

 

Against this, five companies had taken part in the tender process of the work between Sangamwadi to Bund Garden to be carried out by using civic funds. Of them, the tender of BG Shirke Construction Technology Pvt Ltd was the lowest at below 13.14 per cent.

 

J Kumar Infraprojects had quoted a rate which was higher by 1.98 per cent and NCC Limited had quoted a rate which was higher by 12 per cent.
