Pune : Deccan ExpressPune Police | Police constable Dnyaneshwar Dinkar Madiwale has been suspended for accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh for registering an FIR in a fraud case. The suspension orders have been issued by DCP Purnima Gaikwad. (Pune Police)

It has been proved that Madiwale had taken a bribe through zero police Milind Chaure at 10 pm on December 12, 2021. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, police constable Shridhar Patil had been suspended for aiding illegal activities by taking money. The suspension of another constable on the next day has sent ripples through the police force.

Police constable Dnyaneshwar Madiwale is stationed at Sinhagad Road police station. The complainant had submitted an application to the CP office to register a cheating case. A probe had been ordered in the case. The complainant had made the application on October 20, 2021 but the case was deliberately registered late on January 24, 2022. Madiwale demanded Rs one lakh to register the case and accepted it. He demanded Rs five lakh to arrest the accused. Since the complainant did not pay the money, Madiwale advised the accused to apply for bail and help them. Madiwale behaved in an irresponsible and careless manner while doing his duty.

Dnyaneshwar Madiwale had violated the rules of Maharashtra Civil Service Act and maligned the image of Pune police. He will not be able to work in a private company or do business. He cannot leave police headquarters. If he wants to leave the police headquarters, he will have to take permission from the DCP’s office at police headquarters. He will have to present himself before the reserve police inspector during the suspension period, the order says.
