Pune News : Deccan Express – Pune News | District Guardian Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday clarified that restrictions would remain in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad on the coming weekend also. Moreover, Sec 144 has been clamped at tourist spots in Lonavala.
The same restrictions implemented in the wake of pandemic will continue in Pune district. The level 3 norms will be implemented in Pune in the coming week too. Strict restrictions will remain on weekends while tourist destinations will also remain out-of-bounds for visitors.
Sec 114 in Lonavala
Sec 144 has been imposed at tourist spots in Lonavala, where five or more persons will not be allowed to gather. Moreover, there will be a ban on vehicles within the periphery of one kilometer from waterfalls. New rules came into effect from Friday.
The destination spots where sec 144 has been implemented include Bhushi Dam, Ghubad Lake, Lonavala Dam, Tungali Dam, Rajmachi Point, Monkey Point, Amritanjan Bridge, Valvan Dam, Ekvira Mandir premises, Vehergaon, Tiger Point, Lion Point, Shivling Point, Karla Caves, Bhaje Caves, Lohgad Fort, Tung Fort, Visapur Fort, Tikona Fort, Pavana Dam surroundings, Bhaje Waterfall.
The section has been implemented within the periphery of one kilometer of waterfalls and dams.
Ajit Pawar held a review meeting of Covid-19 situation. The restrictions will continue in the municipal limits of Pune and Pimrpi Chinchwad, he said.
The positivity rate in Pune is below five percent. However, the administration is not ready to relax the norms. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) issued these directives before the review meeting called by Pawar. As per the restrictions, traders, hoteliers will have to wait for some more time. Though classes from standard 8 to 12 have started in some rural areas of the district, all educational institutions will remain closed till July 31 in Pune.
