Pune : Deccan Express – Pune Farmer Suicide | A farmer who tried to commit suicide two days ago (August 20) by drinking poison in front of the ministry has died. Farmer Subhash Jadhav died during treatment. He was undergoing treatment at GT Hospital in Mumbai (Pune Farmer Suicide). The doctors tried their best to save his life. But he died today.
Subhash Jadhav is a resident of Manchar in Ambegaon taluka of Pune district. Jadhav was involved in land fraud. He had also rushed to the local police station to seek justice. But he was upset after not getting a proper response. He had come to the Mantralaya premises in Mumbai around 11 a.m. last Friday to seek justice. This time he was trying to get inside the ministry through the Garden Gate entrance. But he was not allowed to enter. After this, he ate pesticide near the garden gate. When the matter came to the notice of the on duty police officers, they immediately hospitalised him. However, he died after two days of treatment. This unfortunate incident is likely to affect the political and social environment of Maharashtra.
Subhash Jadhav, a 48-year-old farmer, had written a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil expressing his grief. In it, Jadhav had told how injustice was done to him. Jadhav had alleged in the letter that the accused had beaten him and his family members, half-naked them and seized the land. The photo of the letter is currently going viral on social media.
