Two groups clash over price of cigarettes, water bottles in Pune; attempt made to kill by using iron scissor and stones

Pune: Deccan Express Pune Crime | Two groups of youths clashed with each other over the price of cigarettes and water bottles. The Bund Garden police have arrested four people for attempt to murder a youth. (Pune Crime)


Swapnil Dattu Kamble (23), a resident of Tadiwala Road, has lodged a complaint with the Bund Garden police station. Accordingly, the police have arrested Naushad Sheikh, Hussain Khan, Wasim Sayyed and Qasim Sheikh (all resident of Tadiwala Road). The incident took place at Manjur paan shop opposite Jehangir Hospital on Monday from midnight to 2.45 am.


According to the police, the accused and the complainant are known to each other. Manjur paan shop is owned by Naushad Sheikh. Swapnil Kamble with his friends had gone to the shop to buy cigarettes and water bottles. There was an argument over the price of these items. The complainant’s motorcycle’s key fell there when he was beaten up. He took away the motorcycle without the key. He came to the paan shop at 2.45 am with his friends. The accused abused him for coming there again and the complainant and his friends were beaten up with wooden logs, iron rods and stones and was seriously injured and an attempt was made to kill him. PSI Kolekar is investigating the case.


Wasim Haji Malang Syed (30), a resident of Private Road, has lodged a cross complaint at the Bund Garden police station. Accordingly, the police have filed an FIR against Swapnil Kamble, Nilesh Dhangar and Kumar Koli (all residents of Tadiwala Road). When the complainant, Hussain Khan and Qasim Sheikh were at the paan shop, the accused came there and beat up the accused. The complainant and his friend were hit with a beer bottle and were injured. PSI Gorad is investigating the case.
