Pune : deccan express – There was some relief from petrol and diesel prices in the past few days. However, CNG prices have been steadily rising. CNG rate was hiked by Rs 2.10 on Wednesday. Hence, Puneites now have to pay Rs 66 for CNG per kg.
Earlier, CNG rate was increased on October 4 and 14. It went up by Rs 2 and Rs 2.60, respectively. Petrol and diesel became cheaper by Rs 10 during Diwali.
A city-based businessman said, “The CNG rate was Rs 55 per kg when I bought my car. Now, it has reached Rs 66 per kg. I use CNG-operated car as I cannot afford petrol, diesel rates. If CNG rate keeps on increasing like this, it will be as costly as petrol and diesel.”
