Deccan Express – JEE Main Result | The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of the JEE-Mains entrance exam for engineering on Tuesday night. A total of 44 students have scored 100 per cent marks in the announced results. Also 18 students have got top rank. Education ministry officials made the announcement on Tuesday night.
From this year, the joint entrance examination JEE-Mains examination will be conducted four times a year. So that students have the opportunity to improve their marks. The first phase was held in February and the second in March.
The next phase of examinations was to be held in April and May. However, the exams were postponed due to the second wave of corona outbreaks in the country. The third phase was held from July 20-25. The fourth phase was held from August 26 to September 2.
The NTA has released a merit list of the students who scored the highest marks in four examinations. It is said that a total of 9,34,602 students took part in the exams. According to NTA, the first phase was attended by 6.2 lakh students. The number of students appearing for the subsequent examinations was reduced. 5.6 lakh candidates participated in the second phase, 5.4 lakh in the third phase and 4.8 lakh in the fourth phase.
