Pune News : (Deccanexpress Online) -Rain lashed many places in Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Sangli and Kolhapur districts on Sunday. Dhule, Satara, Solapur, Nanded, Parbhani and Osmanabad districts also reported medium rain. Heavy rain is predicted at many places in the State. Similar weather conditions would prevail for the next five days in the State, stated the IMD in a press release.
Entire Konkan, central Maharashtra and Marathwada are likely to receive heavy rain today. The met department issued a red alert in Raigad, Ratnagiri, Satara, Kolhapur and Sindhudurg districts. It also issued an orange alert in Pune, Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, Latur, Parbhani, Nanded and Hingoli districts. Hence, Maharashtra, except some parts of Vidarbha and Marathwada, would experience heavy showers today. These weather conditions are likely to prevail for the next four-five days in the State.

Cloudy weather was reported in Pune, Thane, Mumbai and suburbs in the morning today. It drizzled at many places in Mumbai during the day. Rain would intensify by evening in Mumbai. Heavy showers were reported in the past six hours in south Mumbai, eastern suburbs and Borivli.
Meanwhile, 61-mm rainfall was reported at Tata Power, 42 mm in Chembur and Wadala, 44 mm in Vidya Vihar and Mira Raod areas. Other areas experienced light rain. Dry weather conditions were reported across Vidarbha today. Hence, there is little possibility of rain in Vidarbha. However, light rain may occur at isolated places.
