Pune : Deccan Express – Dengue Infection | Since the onset of rains, the number of dengue patients has increased significantly in Khadakwasla, Kirkatwadi and Nanded villages. Despite registering five to six dengue patients in the primary health centre, the number of patients directly undergoing treatment for dengue in private clinics is quite high. Despite this, the municipal administration seems to be ignoring the restrictive measures.
The number of patients with cold, fever-like symptoms has increased in Khadakwasla, Kirkatwadi and Nanded villages. After the examination of blood samples, most of the patients have been reported to have dengue. Four to five dengue patients are getting their treatment in private clinics of the city. There is no data available with the Government Primary Health Center regarding this.
In this regard, Health Officer of Khadakwasla Primary Health Center Dr. Vandana Gawli said that the survey of dengue patients is being done by health workers and ASHA workers. Medicines are being sprayed in the premises where patients are being reported.
It is necessary to spray smoke and medicines regularly. If measures are not taken in time, there can be a huge outbreak of dengue. Two to three people are dengue patients in each house. The cost of treatment is not affordable for the common people.

The administration should destroy the dengue mosquitoes by finding out the place of origin. Action should be taken against the citizens who are negligent in this matter. It is necessary to create public awareness by the Municipal Corporation regarding the treatment and preventive measures.
– Atul Karle, Nanded
As soon as complaints are being received and patients are being found, smoke and medicines are being sprayed in those places. Currently, the problem is the shortage of staff.
