Deccan Express | As per the Covid-19 restriction laid down by the district administration all shops are allowed to open till 4 pm during weekdays. However, there are many stalls that keep operating even after the deadline, inviting a crowd, hence violating Covid-19 norms. To keep a check on it Deputy Chief Minister and Pune district Guardian minister Ajit Pawar today asked police to implement strict restrictions.
He was addressing Pune police in a Covid review meeting held at Pune Divisional Commssioner Office.
While asking for strict action he also asked to implement guidelines laid down by the state government for Saturdays and Sundays.

Pawar said Pune city’s positivity rate is 6 it was 6.2 last week. He also highlighted the drop in the Covid death rate. He also advised people who have got both the doses of Covid-19 vaccines to follow the Covid-19 norms.
According to the government, Pune’s positive rate is 4.9 percent, Pimpri’s five percent, and Pune Rural has the highest positivity rate of 7.3 percent. The Covid death rate is 1.9 percent in Pune, the Covid death rate in Pimpri is 0.6 percent and for rural, it is 0.7 percent.
While talking about vaccination, Pawar said that though 50 lakh population is vaccinated in the city, the slow supply has hampered the vaccination speed in the district. He also highlighted the reduction in mucormycosis patients and the death rate in Pune.
Restrictions in Pune
-All malls and auditoriums will remain closed.
-Shops selling essential items will remain open till 4 pm on all days while shops under the non-essential category will operate from Monday to Friday till 4 pm.
-Restaurants and bars will operate from Monday to Friday till 4 pm with a 50 percent seating capacity. Home delivery of the food is allowed till 11 pm.
-Gyms, salons, beauty parlors will also operate with a 50 percent seating capacity from Monday to Friday till 4 pm.
-All the public places such as gardens, playgrounds will remain open for people from 5 am to 9 am.
-Social, religious, and entertainment programs are allowed to be held from Monday to Friday till 4 pm in the presence of 50 people.
-Government offices related to emergency services can function with 50 percent capacity.
