NEW DELHI: Cases of coronavirus are again rising in many states including Delhi, Maharashtra, Kerala and Punjab. Over 312 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours in Delhi. Earlier, on January 14, there were 340 cases. At the same time, three people died of corona in 24 hours. The total number of deaths in Delhi reached 10,918.
At the same time, more than 10,000 new cases of corona were reported in Maharashtra while 53 people succumbed to the virus. The total corona cases in the state have gone up to 21,98,399. While the number of deaths stands at 52,393.
The number of corona infections in the country has reached 1,11,73,761. At the same time, the number of deaths has been 1,57,548.
CORONA STATS OF FOUR STATES
The number of active cases in Delhi increased to 1,779, which is the highest number of active patients after January 23. There were 1,880 active patients on 23 January. At present, total 6,40,494 people are corona infected in the state.
Delhi’s corona infection rate was 0.53 per cent. This is the highest rate since January 11. On January 11, the infection rate was 0.54 per cent. At the same time, the rate of active corona patients was 0.27 per cent.
Meanwhile, the recovery rate has come down to 98.01 per cent. In the last 24 hours, 312 patients were cured. The number of people recovering has reached 6,27,797.
There were 59,122 tests in the last 24 hours. With this, the total figure of the test has reached 1,26,81,441. Currently, there are 863 patients in home isolation. While the number of containment zones is 591.
At the same time, 10,216 new cases were reported in Maharashtra on Friday. While 6,467 people recovered from corona. The recovery rate in the state is 93.52 per cent. Total 53 more corona patients died in the last 24 hours. The death rate in Maharashtra has reached 2.38 per cent. Meanwhile, 1,174 new cases of corona were reported in Mumbai on Friday, while three people died.
On the other hand, the cases of corona in Punjab have again gained momentum. On Friday, 818 new cases were reported in Punjab. In state, the highest number of 134 new cases reported in Jalandhar district.
Meanwhile, disturbing news has emerged in the midst of rapidly spreading corona cases in Madhya Pradesh. Samples of 100 people from Indore were sent to Delhi for examination, out of which 6 samples confirmed corona having UK strain. After this, on Friday evening, CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan also held a review meeting of corona.
After the meeting, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that if there is no reduction in the corona cases, night curfew can be imposed in Bhopal-Indore from March 8. Also, it will be mandatory for MPs coming from Maharashtra to bring test reports. Masks will be compulsory in schools and colleges.
