NEW DELHI: Union Health Minister Harshvardhan stated that the Indian government has ended the deadline to increase the speed of giving the doses of corona vaccine.
According to the information, citizens can now get the doses of the corona vaccine anytime they want which means now vaccination will be available 24×7 for all the citizens of the country.
The second phase of the vaccination drive started on March 1, 2021. In the second phase of vaccination drive timings were allocated from 9 am to 3 pm for the vaccination process.
The health minister tweeted that People can get vaccinated 24×7 at their convenience. Prime Minister Narendra Modi understands the value of both time and health of citizens.
Both private and government hospitals which are involved in the vaccination drive are linked by the government’s CoWIN app and website, these hospitals can provide the vaccination anytime now.
This process will help out in avoiding crowds at the vaccination sites at a particular time.
After the window for vaccination commenced on March 1, more than 50 lakh people have registered themselves on the CoWIN portal, and around 5 lakh eligible beneficiaries over 60 or those aged between 45 to 60 years with comorbidities have received the first shot of Covid-19 vaccine till Tuesday evening.
