Baramati : deccan express –Typical, for a modern Indian family, a wedding means organizing an enormous, chaotic, and expensive event.
Not following these set norms, an employee of Baramati Municipal Council tied a nuptial knot, adopting innovative concepts embedded with unique ideas.
An employee of Baramati Municipal Council, Sachin Khore, married to his fiancée; but without literary creating any ‘mess’. It was a zero garbage wedding.
Khore turned his wedding ceremony into an opportunity to convey a message of cleanliness to those present. He also implemented the idea of not using any plastic crockery including plates, bowls, and glasses.
The friends and relatives present at the wedding hall were given the oath to follow cleanliness norms in their day-to-day life. All of these measures led the wedding to take place free of plastic garbage.
The event is the talk of the town as it is said that Khore has set a unique example by following the clean environment norms in his wedding. He worked out this plan with the help of the CEO of Baramati Municipal Council, Mahesh Rokade.
In Indian culture, it is said that marriage happens only once. Hence, the people see it as an opportunity to get together. They behave irresponsibly, creating a mess and garbage around the beautifully decorated marriage halls.
However, Khore’s step, not to create any kind of waste at his wedding, is a role model for society.
The clean environment campaign is being implemented in Baramati, recently. Plastic has been banned and punitive measures have been set. Following this totally, Sachin Khore conveyed the message of cleanliness through his marriage.
