Mumbai: Actress Kangana Ranaut said on Monday, she tweeted, ‘With a heavy heart leaving Mumbai, the way I was terrorised all these days constant attacks and abuses hurled at me attempts to break my house after my work place, alert security with lethal weapons around me, must say my analogy about POK was bang on’.
She returned to Mumbai from Himachal Pradesh last week and on the same day the Shiv Sena-ruled Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) dropped at her office citing “illegal construction”. She then moved the Bombay High Court which stayed the demolition proceedings.
Taking a dig at the ruling party, the 33-year-old actress said that “the defenders declared themselves ‘destroyers’ by their action and are working to demolish democracy. She said, “But they are assuming me to be weak, by intimidating and threatening a woman, they are tarnishing their own image.”
Ranaut met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Sunday at Raj Bhavan and apprised him of the “injustice” that had happened to her.
Ranaut also attacked the alleged drug nexus in the city and also targeted the Maharashtra government and compared Mumbai to PoK, which led to controversy. The actress was given Y Plus category protection due to her dispute with Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut.
