Pune man arrested for bomb hoax at Mantralaya, his son was denied admission

Deccan Express | Mundhawa police personnel recently detained a man for sending fake threats via email to bomb Mantralaya in Mumbai.

Personnels from Mundhawa police detained Shailesh Shinde in the case. After primary investigation accused was handed over to the Mumbai Police.

According to reports, Home department, Maharashtra state on Monday morning received an email with threats to bomb the Mantralaya. The information was then forwarded to the security office of the Mantralaya. When Bomb detection and disposal squad checked, it turned out to be hoax call.

Later investigation revealed that the email was sent by Pune based person. Following the Mumbai police informed Pune police and Shailesh Shinde was detained from Ghorpadi area by Mundhwa police. During investigation it was revealed that his son was denied admission and to take a revenge he sent the mail.

In last month, a man from Nagpur was arrested by the Mumbai Police in  regards to bomb threat. He was later identified as a farmer who allegedly claimed that a bomb was planted on at the Maharashtra government secretariat.

Later Mumbai Police personnel had conducted a search operation at the Maharashtra government secretariat. But, soon cops got to know that it was a hoax call.
