Pune : deccan express – Pune Crime | The Mundhwa police have arrested two people for possessing a country-made pistol and two live cartridges worth Rs 25,400. The information was given by senior police inspector Brahmanand Naikwadi of Mundhwa police station. (Pune Crime)
The accused have been identified as Sagar Avinash Kodre (36), a resident of survey number 54, Pragati Garden, Baghe Vasti, Mundhwa and Mangesh Balasaheb Tambe (28), a resident of Kharadkar Park, Kharadi.
As per orders of senior police inspector Brahmanand Naikwadi, a team of officials including Assistant Inspector SK Pote, policeman Bharat Ukirde, Nana Bhandurge, Deepak Kamble, Datta Jadhav, Sachin Patil were patrolling the area under the jurisdiction of Mundhwa police station. Nana Bhandurge got a tip that the accused were going to arrive at Om Sai Chowk and a trap was laid to nab them.
When the accused arrived in the area, they were apprehended and were searched. A country-made pistol and two live cartridges worth Rs 25,400 were found. The police registered a case against them and arrested them.
The action was taken a team of officials including assistant police inspector SK Pote, policeman Nana Bhandurge, Bharat Ukirde, Datta Jadhav, Sachin Patil, Deepak Kamble, Mahesh Pathak, Mauli Giramkar and Nilesh Palve under the guidance of Additional CP Namdev Chavan, DCP Namrata Patil, ACP Bajrang Desai, senior police inspector Brahmanand Naikwadi and police inspector (crime) Pradip Kakde.
