Pune : Deccan Express – Pune Crime | An incident of theft has come to light in the house of nephews of former MLA Rambhau Mojhe. Thieves broke the lock and stole gold (Pune Crime) ornaments worth Rs 53 lakh 46 thousand including 100 tola (1 kg) of gold.
Harishchandra alias Raju Manohar Mojhe (age 49, resident of Ram Mandir, Sangamwadi, Yerwada) has lodged a complaint with Yerwada Police. The incident took place between 1 pm on 3 September and 5:30 pm on 5 September. Raju Mojhe and his brother Mohan Mojhe had left the city on September 3 by locking their house. They returned on Sunday evening. The burglary came to light after that. The thieves had entered inside by breaking the locks of the door of the house. They stole gold and silver jewellery and watches worth Rs 40 lakh 20 thousand from the locker kept in the bedroom of the house.
Apart from this, there was also a burglary in the house of Mohan Manohar. From where gold ornaments, expensive watches and cash worth Rs 13 lakh 26 thousand were stolen. On getting information about the incident, top officials of Yerwada police station visited and inspected the spot. Sub-Inspector of Police Sameer Karpe is conducting further investigation.
