Pune : Deccan Express – Pune Crime | A young man carrying an unlicensed pistol has been arrested by the Marketyard police (Pune Crime) . The action was taken on Tuesday in front of Bail Bazaar. Police have seized a pistol and two live cartridges from the arrested accused. Suraj Rakesh Shukla is the name of the arrested accused.

According to police, Anis Sheikh and Sandeep Ghule of the Bundgarden Police Station on Tuesday received information from a reporter that a man was behind a public toilet at Bailbazar in the Marketyard Police Station area. The young man is carrying a pistol. This information was given by the senior police inspector of Marketyard police station A.V. Deshpande and Senior Inspector of Police Savita Dhamdhere.

Based on the information received, the investigation team of Marketyard Police Station set a trap in the Bail Bazaar area of Ambedkar Nagar and arrested Suraj Shukla. He was found with a pistol and two cartridges hidden in his waist. Police seized a pistol and cartridges and interrogated him. During interrogation, he informed the police that the pistol belonged to him. The accused was arrested after filing a case against him. Further investigation is being conducted by Sub-Inspector of Police Amol Kadam.

The action was taken under the guidance of Namdev Chavan, Additional Commissioner of Police, Namrata Patil, DCP Namrata Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Circle Five, AV Deshpande, Senior Inspector of Police, Marketyard Police Station, Savita Dhamdhere by the team of investigation officers Sub-Inspector of Police Amol Kadam, Constables Hirwale, Kiran Jadhav, Police Officers Sandeep Ghule, Swapnil Kadam, Ashish Yadav, Prashant Musle, Vikram Patil and Aniruddha Gaikwad.
