Pune : Deccan Express  | Pune Crime | A police inspector from the traffic branch beat up an interior designer at the police station. It is also alleged that the interior designer was threatened with a gun by the police inspector.

According to the details, interior designer was asked to return the money saying that the interior decoration work of the house was not done properly. After this, his family members were also mentally tortured. A case has been registered against the police inspector at Samarth police station in this regard. The complainant’s family is terrified by the threats of the police inspector.

Rajesh Puranik is the name of the police inspector in the traffic branch where the case was registered.

The plaintiff, Kartik Ramniwas Ojha, had taken over the work of interior decoration of the residence of Police Inspector (Transport Branch) Rajesh Puranik in Nana Peth area. Kartik gave the quotation of that work to Puranik and started the work with his approval. The work was almost 70% complete. At that time, Kartik Ojha demanded the rest of the money from Puranik for further work as well as to pay the workers. But Puranik pointed out several errors in the work and said he would not pay. Since then, the interior designer has been threatened to return the money. The accused police inspector has been threatening and demanding money in various ways for the last eight days. It is also causing mental anguish to Kartik’s family members.

Meanwhile, Puranik called Kartik Ojha to Samarth Transport Department with all the documents. As he did not return money, he was severely beaten and kicked. Kartik’s mobile phone was also snatched by the accused police inspector. Not only this, he also sent inappropriate messages to the contacts in Kartik’s mobile phone. Ojha’s sister had lodged a complaint with the Commissioner of Police. She also accused the police inspector that he threatened Kartik with a gun. An unsolved crime has been registered at Samarth police station.
