Pune : Deccan Express | Pune Crime | Former BJP corporator of Lashkar Cantonment Board Vivek Mahadev Yadav has been arrested by the Kondhwa Police from the Gujarat border. Earlier, two contract killers appointed by Vivek Yadav were arrested in this case.
A case has been registered at Kondhwa Police Station. Police had earlier arrested contrace killers Rajan John Rajamani (38, resident of Bhagyodaynagar, Kondhwa) and Ibrahim alias Hussein Yakub Shaikh (27, resident of Wakad) in connection with the murder.
Viivek Yadav is a former corporator of Lashkar Cantonment Board. In 2016, Yadav was shot at night during Ganeshotsav. The shooting was carried out by Bablu Gavli. Vivek Yadav had given the contract of murder of Bablu Gavli to both the accused on the ground of pre-shooting and prejudice. It was also decided where and how to kill him. The two talked about it through calls and chatting.
Meanwhile, Bablu Gavli is currently out of jail due to the corona pandemic. Meanwhile, the police got the information while the plot was going on. According to the police, the two were caught earlier. 3 pistols and 7 cartridges were seized from them. It has come to light that Vivek Yadav got the pistol from his accomplices.
Meanwhile, Vivek Yadav and his accomplice were absconding. The search for the two had been going on for the past few days. Three different squads and the crime branch were searching for him. However, he could not be found.
Meanwhile, the Kondhwa police team came to know that Vivek Yadav was from Gujarat. The squad rushed there and caught him at the border. He is being brought to Pune. Meanwhile, Vivek Yadav’s accomplice and pistol supplier have not been found yet. The search is on for him.
The action was taken under the guidance of Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of Police Namrata Patil, Kondhwa Police Station Senior Inspector Sardar Patil, Sub-Inspector of Police Prabhakar Kapure, Constable Yogesh Kumbhar, Police Naik Sushil Dhiwar and the colleagues of them have arrested Vivek Yadav (Pune).
