Pune: Deccan Express – Pune Crime | A youth who had been admitted to a mental hospital for treatment, died after falling from the building due to negligence of hospital employees. The Hadapsar police have filed an FIR against the doctor and the hospital staff. (Pune Crime)
The FIR has been registered against Dr Amar Shinde and the staff of Jagruti Psychiatric Centre Hospital, Manjari. The incident had happened at the hospital on October 1, 2020.
A 39-year-old woman residing in Kale Padal, Hadapsar has lodged a complaint at the Hadapsar police station. According to the police, the complainant’s son Aditya had been admitted to Jagruti Psychiatric Centre Hospital for treatment. Niranjan Pandit, a staff of the hospital, beat up Aditya because he had made a phone call to his house. He did not keep a watch on the boy despite knowing that he was a psychiatric patient.
Despite the fact that he can fall from the building and lose his life, nobody kept a watch on him. Because of their carelessness, the boy went to the top floor by climbing the staircase and fell to his death. Since they are responsible for the boy’s death, a case has been filed against them.
