Pune : deccan express – Pune Crime | A double murder was reported in Lonikand (Pune Crime) on Wednesday evening. Assailants used a sickle, a baseball bat and stone to kill the father-son duo. Lonikand police officers and Crime Branch officers reached the spot after learning about the double murder.
The victims have been identified as Sunny Kumar Shinde (22) and Kumar Shinde (55). Sunny was arrested last year in a murder case. He was released on bail three months ago. The assailants attacked him with a sickle, a baseball bat, etc behind the school in Lonikand. He was seriously injured. The assailants still hit him with a stone.
When his father went there to pacify the assailants, he was also attacked. The seriously hurt father-son duo later died. Senior PI Gajanan Pawar and other officials arrived at the spot after learning about the incident. The duo was killed due to an old enmity. The Lonikand police are investigating.
The assailants have been identified and the police are searching for them.
