Pune: Deccan Express – Pune Crime | A team of unit two of Anti-Extortion Cell of the crime branch arrested a criminal who was on parole in a murder case. Two country made pistols and cartridges have been seized from him. The action was taken at the fish market in Yerawada. (Pune Crime)
Hrithik Raju Sathe (21), a resident of opposite fish market, Yerawada, is the accused. An FIR has been registered against him at the Yerawada police station under the Arms Act and Maharashtra Police Act.
Officials of AEC were patrolling in the jurisdiction of Yerawada police station. The police came to know that a criminal on police record is at the fish market and he had two pistols and cartridges in his possession. The police laid a trap and arrested accused Hrithik Sathe. When he was searched, two country made pistols and two live cartridges were found.
The accused Hrithik Sathe is a criminal on the police record. He had been released on parole in a murder case registered at Yerawada police station. He is in police custody and PSI Mohandas Jadhav is investigating the case.
The action was taken by a team of police officials including PI Balaji Pandhre, API Changdev Sajgane, PSI Mohandas Jadhav, policemen Sachin Ahivale, Vijay Gurav, Pradeep Shitole, Shailesh Surve, Rahul Uttarkar, Vinod Salunke, Anil Mengde, Sangram Shingar, Saidoba Bhojrao, Surendra Sable, Amol Pilane, Chetan Apte, Chetan Shirolkar, Pradeep Gade, Kisor Barge, Pavan Bhosale, Ravi Sapkal and policewomen Asha Kolekar and Rupali Karnavar under the guidance of CP Amitabh Gupta, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Srinivas Ghadge and ACP Narayan Shirgaonkar.
